With over 16 years of experience in mental health, Toby creates a compassionate and supportive therapeutic space where clients can feel safe to share their stories and work toward healing and recovery. A registered Mental Health Nurse with a deep understanding of trauma and its far-reaching effects, Toby is passionate about empowering clients to rebuild their lives through strength-based, person-centered care.

Toby ‘s professional journey has encompassed working in Acute Crisis Teams, inpatient psychiatric wards, and community mental health services. Over the past decade, they have specialised in Consultation Liaison and Emergency Department roles, supporting individuals in crisis and providing psychological care during critical moments.

With a keen focus on trauma recovery, Toby blends clinical expertise with a personal understanding of the challenges faced by the LGBTQI+ community. An advocate for social justice and inclusion, He is deeply committed to fostering a sense of pride and resilience in his clients.

His therapeutic approach integrates modalities such as The Conversational Model (CM), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy, tailored to each client’s unique needs and experiences.

Toby continues to enhance their practice through ongoing professional development, supervision, and advanced studies, including a Masters in the Conversational Model. His dedication to learning ensures a holistic and thoughtful approach to helping clients navigate life’s challenges, build self-understanding, and thrive.
